Local Anesthetic and Steroid Injections

I had my appointment with my doctor (Dr. B) yesterday. He felt I had not had enough physical therapy sessions to know if it would help me improve. Therefore, I will keep up with PT for one more month and then I'll see Dr. B again.

Dr. B gave me local anesthetic and steroid injections in both hips (the injections weren't more painful than a flu shot) as another test to see if the pain would subside after the injections and it did which meant that the pain I am feeling really comes from my hips. It was a really strange experience because, I expected to feel pain when Dr. B manipulated my hips after the injections but I didn't which, is a really weird feeling after years of pain. After a few hours the anesthesia wore of and my hips were more sore than usual due to Dr. B manipulating them after the injections and me manipulating them at home because, I was so happy and confused that I wasn't feeling pain in my hips. Friday is my next PT session and I'm hoping that my pain will decrease with some more PT.

I'll keep you updated (:
